WHAT "NOT TO DO" WHEN PREPARING TO LIST YOUR HOME FOR SALE!

  • Don't remodel your kitchen or baths...DO give them a little face lift by changing out light fixtures, hardware, and paint
  • Don't replace your flooring...buyer might not like what you choose...DO replace soiled carpets 
  • Don't fix cracks in your driveway or walkway...very expensive...DO refresh walkways that are made of stone, brick, or pavers
  • Don't replace your roof...DO make any necessary repairs...provide several estimates from reputable roofing companies if roof is older
  • Don't replace your front door...DO paint it a new, bright color or stain if it's a wood door
  • Don't replace window coverings...DO take down current dated window coverings...patch holes...will show natural light
  • Don't do expensive landscaping projects...DO spruce up landscape, trim plantings, add mulch, plant a few seasonal, colorful plants
  • Don't replace the fireplace...DO make sure your chimney is cleaned and fireplace is functioning
  • Don't do "partial repairs"...DO replace whole sets( sink faucets)
  • Don't Over fix/Update your property...DO keep your property in line with the neighborhood
